The purpose of this special is conduct interviews for a new City Clerk/Treasurer.

Meeting closed for interviews directly following Thelen call to order.

Results of the interviews were as follows:

Motion by Humbert to offer Paul Hetland the position of City Clerk/Treasurer contingent upon background check, seconded by Worms and roll call vote as follows:

Worms-yes; Humbert-yes, Hennen-yes, Goebel-yes, Thelen-no.

Motion by Worms to offer the position at Group 8 Step 9, seconded by Goebel and roll call vote as follows:

Worms-no; Humbert-no, Hennen-no, Goebel-no, Thelen-no.

Motion by Worms to offer the position at Group 8 Step 7, seconded by Goebel and roll call vote as follows:

Worms-yes; Humbert-yes, Hennen-yes, Goebel-yes, Thelen-yes.

Meeting opened at 9:45

Massmann present certificates of deposit 203447 and 203448 for renewal, motion by Goebel to renew the CD's, seconded by Worms and carried unanimously.

Thelen spoke with Traci Ryan today and stated that she explained the final bill form David Drown and Associates to him. She also indicated that they could also perform a financial presentation for the 2003 pending projects.

Motion by Worms to have the presentation by Northland Securities canceled if still possible, seconded by Goebel and carried unanimously.

The council discussed additional part-time help for the city. After discussion it was decided to invite Mark Middendorf to the city hall to discuss possible part-time employment.
