Freeport City Council Special Meeting Minutes - March 4, 2003

Staff persons on hand were Pete Carlson of SEH, John Gilk, and Anton Massmann.

Staff Reports

Carlson reported on plans for 3^rd St NE. After a review of the plans the council noted changes for the water main. To have new main begin at 3^rd Street NW intersection with 1^st Ave, and change the specification to PVC for the main. When the project date comes closer to meet with property owners to discuss the project once again. Carlson will also have more information on 2^nd Ave NE by the next regular meeting.

Worms and Humbert attended the meeting for elected official at the LMCIT at the end of last month.

Mayor Thelen called the meeting of the AFSA to order at 8:30 PM. Present - Millwood Township, Oak Township, St Martin Township, Albany Township, City of Freeport, Chief John Gilk and 1^st Assistant Chief Tim Hennen. Absent - City St. Anthony and City of St, Rosa.

After the financial report was reviewed it was noted the surplus for 2002 was $1,293. Motion by Albany Township to approve the financial report and place the surplus into the vehicle sinking fund, seconded by Krain Township and carried unanimously by all present.

After a review of the proposed budget for 2004, motion by Albany Township to approve the budget, seconded by Krain Township and carried unanimously by all present.

Motion by Humbert to adjourned at 9:35, seconded by Goebel and carried.
